Press Release Regarding The Suicide Attack In Kandahar , 10.06.2010
We strongly condemn the suicide attack that took place yesterday (9 June) in Kandahar during a wedding ceremony, killing at least 40 people and injuring many others, according to initial reports. We wish mercy upon those who lost their lives and speedy recovery to the wounded as a result of this tragic attack, and convey our condolences to the bereaved families of the victims.
We are determined to continue supporting brotherly Afghanistan in its fight against terrorism and extremism and our solidarity with the people and government of Afghanistan.
