Press Release Regarding The Terrorist Attack In Kabul , 08.10.2009
The terrorist attack that took place today (October 8, 2009) in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, in front of the Indian Embassy located in the vicinity of our Embassy, which according to the initial reports killed 12 and injured 83, has caused deep sorrow and concern. Turkey extends her condolences to the families of the victims and wishes speedy recovery to the wounded.
Turkey considers terrorism as a common enemy of humankind and is convinced of the necessity for robust solidarity and cooperation by the international community in this struggle. She shares the grief and anger of her brothers and strongly condemns the attack.
Turkey trusts that the friendly and brotherly Afghani people would sooner or later achieve a peaceful and prosperous future and once more reiterates that she will continue to do her utmost to provide assistance to that end.
